Terms of Service

01The agreement

These Terms are between you and Yusuf Demirci, an independent software developer based in Türkiye (“we”, “us”). They cover the Human Typing Chrome extension and the website at human-typing.nefarius.co — together, “the Service”.

Installing the extension, or using the site, means you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not install it. Our Privacy Policy forms part of these Terms.

02What the Service is

Human Typing is a Chrome extension that takes text you provide and enters it into a field on a web page as a sequence of keystrokes, spaced the way a person's keystrokes are spaced, instead of inserting the whole thing at once.

• It does not write anything for you. Every character it types is text you gave it.
• It does not create accounts, sign in, follow, vote, post or submit. You do all of that yourself.
• It runs on your machine. There is no service to sign in to, and nothing to pay.

03Your licence

We grant you a personal, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive and revocable licence to install and use the extension for your own purposes, personal or commercial, for as long as these Terms are respected.

• You may not sell, sublicense or redistribute the extension as your own.
• You may not remove or obscure attribution, or present a modified build as ours.
• Every right not granted here stays with us.

Where any part of the project is published under an open source licence, that licence governs that part and prevails over this section for it.

04Acceptable use

This is the part that matters. The extension exists so that words you actually wrote arrive looking like words a person typed. It is not built to help you appear to be someone you are not.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• impersonate another person, organisation or account holder;
• operate accounts you do not own, or accounts presented as people who do not exist;
• post at a volume or rate no single person could plausibly produce — spam, bulk comments, mass outreach, review farming, engagement schemes;
• evade a ban, suspension, rate limit or any other enforcement action taken against you;
• sit an examination, test or assessment in a way the assessor prohibits;
• enter text into any system you are not authorised to use;
• publish anything unlawful, including harassment, defamation, infringement, fraud, malware or content prohibited where you are.

You are also bound by the terms of the sites you type into. Many platforms restrict automated interaction, and some restrict it in ways that reach this. Read the ones that apply to you; they bind you regardless of what these Terms say.

Breaking these rules ends your licence immediately. In practice a tool that runs entirely on your own machine is enforced by you rather than by us, which is precisely why this section is stated plainly.

05Your text stays yours

We claim nothing over the text you put in the panel, and we never receive it. You are solely responsible for what you write, for where you choose to post it, and for having the right to post it at all.

06What we do not promise

We want to be exact about one thing, because for some people it is the reason to install this at all.

Human Typing does not defeat, bypass or protect you from bot detection, spam filtering, moderation or account enforcement, and it is not offered as doing so. Nobody can honestly promise that.

Platforms weigh account age, IP reputation, posting rate, link patterns, prior behaviour and the content itself — none of which this touches. What the extension changes is one input signal: whether text arrived as keystrokes or as a paste. If you wrote the words yourself, that signal was misleading about you, and afterwards it is accurate. That is the entire claim.

You accept the consequences of anything you post, including moderation, rate limiting, suspension or loss of an account. Those outcomes are between you and the platform.

07Provided as is

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows.

In particular, we do not warrant that it works on any given site. Pages change, editors change how they handle input events, and Chrome changes its extension APIs. A field that works today may not work next month, and we are not obliged to fix it.

Nothing in this section removes rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law where you live.

08Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, nor for lost profit, lost data, lost accounts, lost reputation or business interruption arising from your use of the Service.

The Service is free of charge, and our total liability for any claim relating to it is limited to what you paid for it, which is nothing.

Turkish law does not permit the exclusion of liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence (Turkish Code of Obligations, art. 115), and nothing here attempts to exclude it — nor liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, nor any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

09Changes, availability and ending

• We may change, suspend or discontinue the Service, in whole or in part, at any time, and we are not obliged to keep any particular version available.
• The extension updates through the Chrome Web Store on Chrome's schedule, not ours.
• You may end this agreement whenever you like by uninstalling the extension. Uninstalling removes the draft and the settings it stored.
• The disclaimers, the limitation of liability and the governing law survive the agreement ending.

10Third parties

The Chrome Web Store, Chrome itself and every website you type into are run by other people under their own terms. We are not responsible for them, and a link is not an endorsement.

Human Typing is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Google. Chrome and Google are trademarks of Google LLC.

11Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms. The date at the top records when they last changed, and the current version always lives at this address. Anything material will be called out in the extension's release notes. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the new version.

12Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the Turkish courts and enforcement offices have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

If you use the Service as a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence, nor of any right you have to bring proceedings there.

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remainder stays in force.
